First-Year Program

The First-Year Program is designed to assist you in the transition to college and orient you to the history and values of the Fisher community and the characteristics of a successful Fisher student.

The goal is for you to become a responsible citizen, develop critical learning skills, and explore educational and career aspirations.

The First-Year Program will give you the tools to navigate between your increased personal freedom and your new responsibilities. It does more than help you adjust to your new surroundings; it provides the critical-thinking skills required to address the character challenges of college life.

Find out more information about the common academic experiences you'll take part in, as well as activities beyond the classroom to help you with your transition to your new community!
