Fisher to Host Annual Monroe County Math League Meet
On Wednesday, March 2, St. John Fisher College will host the Monroe County Math League's Annual All-Star Meet, a county-wide competition with over 600 local high school students participating.
Students come from 30 area high schools, in ages ranging from 12 – 18 years old. Their day will begin at 9:00 a.m. in Fisher's Student Life Center with welcome remarks by Dr. Donald Bain, President of St. John Fisher College, and Steve Colabufo, President of the Math League.
Competition begins at 10:00 a.m. and includes several rounds. The event will conclude with a ceremony at 2:00 pm when the awards are given to the best teams.
The Monroe County Math League provides a venue for students from schools in the Monroe County area to participate in monthly challenging monthly math competitions after school from September through February.
