Step 2: Programs Overview
Semester Programs
Our Foreign Study Program extends the campus curriculum to include the officially affiliated programs below. Participants retain all financial assistance (except tuition remission); grades earned abroad are counted as part of the grade point average. Students enroll in at least 12 credit hours and all courses must be taken for credit.

Information and Application
Please apply through the campus Foreign Study Program Director, Dr. Kathleen Costello in Basil Hall 108. Fisher Foreign Study applications are due to Dr. Costello by October 15th for the Spring semester and by March 15th for the Fall semester. Please be aware that deadlines for programs in countries such as Spain, Italy, and France have earlier deadlines - October 1st and March 1st – to allow for the necessary time to obtain a student visa.
Summer Programs
Earn 7 credits living and studying in another country this summer!
Open to all students in any major. No language prerequisites, but students who have completed 101 have a richer experience. Programs may fulfill the Foreign Language requirement for BA students.
Fisher in France
Through the University of Caen in Normandy. Includes tuition, airfare, all lodging, allowance for two meals a day, excursions in Normandy to D-Day Landing Beaches, Bayeux, Mont St. Michel, St. Malo, beach resort towns, Versailles and 6 nights in Paris.
Fisher in Italy
Through the Instituto Italiano, Florence, Italy, the cradle of the Renaissance. Includes tuition, airfare, lodging and two meals a day (breakfast/dinner), lodging with an Italian family in Florence, visits to Siena, Venice (1 night) Rome (2-3 nights), Cinque Terre (1 night), St. Gimignano, “Castello di Gabbiano” vineyards and wine cellar, and museum entrance fees.
Fisher in Spain
Includes tuition, airfare, lodging plus three meals a day with Spanish families, afternoon activities, and field trips to Granada, Córdoba, Cádiz and the beaches of Costa de la Luz.
