Accounting Internships Spotlight

Allison Mooney

Allison Mooney '15

Allison Mooney experienced the rewarding benefits of working for a non-profit organization as an Accounting Intern at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester.

No stranger to service, Allison has been giving back to the community since her freshman year at Fisher through the Service Scholar Program.

Allison's internship responsibilities included bank and credit card reconcilements, creating inventory Excel sheets, handling payroll, updating the QuickBooks program with canister deposits from local McDonald's restaurants, and using a database to keep records of donations and gifts.

She enjoyed getting a taste of the non-profit side of accounting and is excited to test the corporate side during her internship with KPMG in the Audit Department after graduation.

She will be returning to Fisher in the fall to finish her M.B.A. with a concentration in accounting.
