Throughout his 27 year career as a professor in St. John Fisher College’s School of Business, Dr. Thomas Tyson has used his expertise in archival research to explore the history of accounting. It’s this blending of textual analysis and accounting expertise that earned Tyson a third opportunity to participate in the Fulbright Specialist Program, which connects experts from across the United States to short-term collaborations with universities or organizations in more than 140 countries. Accounting Students See Real-life Scenarios in PwC Case Competition

More than 30 St. John Fisher College accounting students competed in the annual PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) business competition. The challenge, which is sponsored by PwC, included freshman, sophomore, and junior business majors who worked for two weeks on a case scenario before presenting their findings to a panel of judges on Friday, Nov. 4. Fisher Senior Accepted into KPMG Master’s Program

St. John Fisher College senior Megan Keib was accepted into an inaugural master’s degree program sponsored by international accounting firm KPMG. Developed in collaboration with the Ohio State University and Villanova University, the program offers students the opportunity to pursue a master’s degree in accounting with data and analytics at one of the institutions. Accounting Awards Banquet

Student and alumni achievements are recognized every spring at the Accounting Awards Banquet.

Attended by nearly 300 alumni, students, and recruiters, the Accounting Awards Banquet is an opportunity for students to meet professionals in various accounting fields, network with alumni, and celebrate student successes.

The Accounting Alumnus of the Year Award is also given out at the banquet.
