Matthew Morrisey

Matthew Morrisey '15

Matthew Morrisey, a corporate finance and marketing major, spent his senior spring semester interning as an attorney relations manager at DebtorWise Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable financial education to financially distressed and low-income households.

Matthew began his days by meeting with Human Resources and Compliance managers to discuss the status of projects and review goals and objectives for the week. He also replied to attorney’s questions and concerns, and suggested additional services to fit their needs. Additionally he checked for relevant industry information from the Department of Justice and news outlets to find appropriate content for marketing e-blasts and social media posts.

After graduation, Matt plans on taking a year to travel the world to gain better insight into global advertising trends, as well as identifying consumer sentiment toward advertising in a variety of locations. He believes this will place him in a unique position to offer a company a combination of global insight, real world experience, and a recognized degree that will set him apart from peers in the industry.
