Management Internships Spotlight

Tyrese Bryant

Tyrese Bryant '15

Tyrese Bryant, a political science major with minors in African American Studies and Management, completed his spring 2015 management internship with Wegmans Food Markets as a United Way Campaign Coordinator.

Tyrese was responsible for managing small fundraisers at the store throughout the 6-7 week campaign period, tracking donation cards, and reporting the campaign metrics at regular meetings. He was also tasked with generating new and interesting ideas for employees to help raise money for the United Way.

"By the end of my internship I learned how to be an effective leader and fundraiser. I was given a goal by the leaders of Wegmans and I did whatever I could to accomplish that goal. I gave all my energy towards doing as much as possible for the United Way of Greater Rochester," said Bryant.

Tyrese is now pursuing a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning.
