Educational Leadership Admissions Requirements
In addition to the materials and credentials outlined in the general admission requirements, the following are required:
School Building Leader Program
- The applicant must be certified as a teacher and have at least two years of teaching experience or three years of teaching experience in a non-public P-12 school before admission to the program.
- At the discretion of the Educational Leadership Admissions Committee, any applicant with a GPA lower than 3.0 may be required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and score 500 or higher on each of the two tests.
- Both of the recommendations must be from certified school administrators familiar with the applicant's potential to be successful as an educational leader.
- At the discretion of the program Admissions Committee, an applicant may be required to come to campus for a personal interview and provide an on-demand writing sample.
School Building Leader/School District Leader Program
- The applicant must be certified as a teacher and have at least two years of teaching experience or three years of teaching experience in a non-public P-12 school before admission to the program.
- Applicants for the School Building Leader / School District Leader Program must have a minimum of thirty (30) credits of a Master’s Degree program from an accredited higher educational institution in an area that leads to permanent professional teacher certification.
- At the discretion of the Educational Leadership Admissions Committee, any applicant with a GPA lower than 3.0 may be required to take the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and score 500 or higher on each of the two tests.
