Schultz Presents at National Council for Exceptional Children Conference

Dr. Susan Schultz, Program Director, M.S. Special Education and Associate Professor, recently served as a presenter at the National Council for Exceptional Children Conference in San Antonio, Texas, from April 3-6.

She presented a poster and also hosted an interactive lecture. In addition, she was nominated for a competitive research award for her research with twice-exceptional students. Her recent article, “Twice-Exceptional Students Enrolled in Advanced Placement (AP) Classes,” was hailed as a significant contribution to the education research community as it provided a better understanding, to teachers, regarding the supports and benefits for twice-exceptional students who are enrolled in AP classes.

At the conference, Schultz also participated in a faculty roundtable as the advisor for Fisher’s Council for Exceptional Children Student Chapter.
