Program Requirements for the Online RN-to-BS in Nursing

Plan of Study
The fully-accredited R.N. to B.S. curriculum is a modular program delivered in an online learning format, designed to respond to the needs of working professionals in terms of scheduling and flexibility. Courses are taught in seven-week modules. Each student’s plan of study will be individually designed based on previously completed coursework. The program can be completed in as little as 12-18 months.
RN-to-BS Degree Requirements
Nursing Credits: 56
The 56 credits in the nursing major include 30 credits in nursing at St. John Fisher College and the 26 or more credits for nursing coursework transferred from an associate's degree or hospital-based diploma nursing program.

Liberal Arts Credits: 64
A total of 64 credits in liberal arts are required. Potentially 40 liberal arts credits can be transferred from the associate's degree program. Additional liberal arts credits may be transferred from bachelor's level courses at other schools that meet St. John Fisher College core or elective requirements. The Registrar will provide an individualized evaluation of transfer courses and credits to determine the additional liberal arts courses required for the B.S. degree to total 64 credits.

- A college-level course in introductory ethics or bioethics.
