Wegmans School of Pharmacy

Wegmans School of Pharmacy is committed to preparing pharmacists for lives of intellectual, professional, and civic integrity.

Pharm.D. Curriculum

Our Pharm.D. program will prepare you to practice in any professional setting by providing a strong foundation in the sciences, clinical skills, and administration while emphasizing professionalism, integrity, and diversity.

The Pharm.D. curriculum is designed such that courses integrate information, building upon one another, and encompass both didactic and experiential learning.

The WSOP Difference

At the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, we set ourselves apart by making teaching a priority, promoting excellence in the classroom, creating a student-centered learning environment, and keeping class sizes small so you receive the personalized attention you deserve.

In addition, our students consistently outperform national averages on the third year Pharmacy Curriculum Outcomes Assessment (PCOA) exam and licensure exams.

Our History

The Wegmans School of Pharmacy, which opened in the Fall of 2006, is the first of its kind in Monroe County and the fifth in the State of New York. Construction of the 37,000 square-foot building that houses the school was made possible by a $5 million donation by Robert B. Wegman, Chairman of Wegmans Food Markets, Inc.

The school opened in August 2006 with an inaugural class of 55 students, nine faculty and two staff. Since its beginning, the school has grown to include over 300 students in four classes and over 40 faculty and staff.
