Pharmacy Faculty Named President of State Organization
Dr. Judianne Slish, associate professor at St. John Fisher College’s Wegmans School of Pharmacy, was recently named president of the Pharmacists Society of the State of New York (PSSNY). Slish will serve as the organization’s 123rd president.
Before coming to Fisher in 2007, Slish was an assistant professor at the University at Buffalo, practicing at the Erie County Medical Center. She has also worked at Strong Memorial Hospital as a pharmacy practice resident, extending her training into general medicine. In addition, she completed a specialty residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, gaining expertise in infectious diseases.
Slish has held leadership positions in the Pharmacists Association of Western New York and on the PSSNY Board of Directors.
The PSSNY, founded in 1879, represents licensed pharmacists across the state. The organization aims to unite pharmacists for mutual assistance, encouragement, and improvement in order to maintain a standard of pharmacy practice at a high professional and ethical level.
