Master of Business Administration

The Bittner School of Business offers a number of customized options a student may select from leading to an MBA degree. The MBA program is designed for students who wish to complete their degree in between one to six years.

Program Highlights

There are many reasons that make Fisher the special place to pursue your MBA:

  • Flexibility
    Fisher offers you the opportunity to complete your MBA in one year or up to six years. We offer the flexibility to customize your MBA program to leverage your available learning time.
  • Concentrations
    The Bittner School lets you select an area of concentration within your MBA. We currently offer concentrations in:
    • Accounting
    • General Management
    • Global Context
    • Health Services Management
    • Human Resource Development
    • Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Accelerated Time to Degree
    Individuals with substantial undergraduate preparation in business may be able to reduce the number of Foundation Courses taken in the MBA program. If you are a current undergraduate Business Major, you may qualify for a fifth year program (also called a 4+1) which allows the completion of your MBA within a year of your undergraduate degree.

Application Requirements

  • A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher
  • A personal goals statement
  • Official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate coursework
  • Two Letters of Recommendation [pdf]
  • A current résumé
  • Application Form [pdf] with fee
  • The GMAT is required unless the applicant has:
    • A management or business degree with a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher from a regionally accredited college or university - OR -
    • An advanced degree 
  • The results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) for students whose native language is not English
  • Immunization History (required upon acceptance)
  • Interview:
    • As part of the admissions process, certain candidates may be required to be interviewed as part of the admissions process

Program Structure

The structure of the MBA program is as follows:

» Foundation Courses (18 credit hours)

  • Applicants with business degrees who have taken courses that cover these subject areas may be able to gain exemption(s) up to 18 credit hours, based on their ability to meet certain criteria. Exemptions must be applied for prior to the start of the program.

» Core courses (18 credit hours)

» Concentration courses (12 credit hours)

  • Accounting
  • General Management
  • Health Services Management
  • Pharmaceutical Industry
  • Global Context
  • Human Resource Development
