Alumni Volunteer Opportunities
There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available to alumni at St. John Fisher College. Through the Alumni Association Board of Directors, committees have been established in the areas of Admissions, Fund Raising, and Alumni Outreach. If you are interested in volunteering in any of these areas, or have another idea about how alumni can get involved, please contact Alumni Director Chris Sullivan through the Alumni Relations Office, (585) 385-8001.
Here are just a few of the opportunities currently available:
Fundraising Volunteers
Volunteers in the fund-raising area call fellow alumni to ask them to support the College's Annual Fund or write specific letters of solicitation to fellow alumni regarding a special initiative or project.
Examples: Serving as a phone-a-thon caller or class agent for your Reunion Class Giving Project.
Alumni Outreach
Alumni Outreach includes the establishment of Alumni Chapters in cities outside of Rochester including Syracuse and Buffalo. A year-long schedule of events is also planned to give alumni the opportunity to socialize, network, and become reacquainted with Fisher.
Become a Class Captain!
Being a Class Captain is easy – just a couple of hours for just one night – but it will make a real difference for the future of your alma mater. Enjoy dinner and drinks with other alumni and simply pick up the phone, reconnect with members of your graduating class, and ask for them to join you in supporting St. John Fisher College.
We are currently looking for a few captains for each class so call a classmate or two and get them to join you for an evening of fun, food, and phoning. Contact Elizabeth Dorscheid for more information at edorscheid@sjfc.edu or (585) 385-8134.
