Changes to Credit Card Payment Acceptance
St. John Fisher College Credit Card Policy Change (effective October 19, 2009)
Due to the increased cost of credit card processing, St. John Fisher College will no longer accept credit cards directly for student account payments, which includes tuition, fees, room, and board. The Bursar's Office will no longer accept or process credit/debit card transactions.
For those who would still like a credit card payment option, St. John Fisher College has contracted with NelNet Business Solutions, a third-party vendor, to accept credit card payments. All transactions processed by NelNet are subject to a 2.75% convenience fee.
- The NelNet website is accessed through a link on Fish 'R' Net and can be accessed through any web-enabled computer.
- NelNet will charge a 2.75% convenience fee (ex. $2,000 payment would result in a $55 convenience fee). This convenience fee will be charged to your credit card. The College does not control the rate of the convenience fee charged nor does the College receive any proceeds from this service.
- NelNet accepts MasterCard, Discover and American Express credit cards. Debit transactions and VISA branded credit cards are not accepted by NelNet.
Online payments from a checking or savings account will continue to be available through Fish'R'Net. There is no fee associated with these transactions.
