Etiquette Lunch

You will learn and practice proper dining etiquette during a sit down lunch. It is common to use your dining skills for job interviews, meetings with a supervisor or clients, or in a networking session. Being knowledgeable and practiced will help you make a good impression by feeling confident and at ease in any situation. Space is limited and students must RSVP by contacting the Career Center or signing up through CareerZone. Registration fee is $5.00 cash, check, or credit card. Join the Career Center for a two day Job Search Boot Camp where you will work to develop a defined job target and create a personal strategy to accomplish your career objective. Through a series of workshops and work sessions, you will explore career options that match your interests, identify opportunities, develop a targeted resume and cover letter, learn how to develop a network, and polish your interviewing skills. This is an opportunity to develop effective tools and techniques to kick-start your job search and implement a personalized strategy for the rest of the semester.

Getting the Most From a Career Fair

Your attendance and participation at a career fair can lead to a job or internship offer. To get the most out of a career fair you need to do more than just show up. You need to be prepared by researching companies in advance, anticipating your approach and knowing how to follow up. You can walk away with a company give-a-way (i.e. stress ball) or you can walk away with a job lead. Open to all majors and class years. An opportunity to meet with over 45 employers from a variety of industries who are recruiting for jobs and internships this spring. Open to all students and class years.
