Notes from the Middle Kids Room

Dear Parents,

February will be another busy month in our room! We will begin the month with a visit from Dr. Aslani-Briet's office on Wednesday, February 3, 2010. A dental hygienist will be teaching the children about proper dental care.

In preparation of Valentine's Day, the second week of February we will be learning about different feelings and emotions. We are planning a Valentine Exchange Party for Friday, February 12th at 10:00am, which you are all welcome to attend. The children will design a Valentine craft, decorate Valentine cookies, sing Valentine songs, and of course, exchange Valentine cards. We are asking that the children bring 14 non-addressed Valentine cards to exchange the day of the party. We would also appreciate if your child could wear something pink or red for the party. Lastly, we will be placing a treat sign-up sheet next to the parent sign-up board in our classroom next week.

We will spend the third week of February conducting a variety of exciting science experiments. The children will learn about the properties of water, cause and effect, mixing colors, and volcano eruptions. This will be a very fun, but messy week for our class. Please be sure to send your child to school in play clothes this week. As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child.

Thank you!
Miss Becky
