Online Course Readiness Checklist
This checklist will be used in the final one-on-one consultation between the Educational Technologist and faculty member preparing to teach a new online course. The items on this checklist are not necessarily required and may not work for each course. The checklist is intended as a tool to facilitate discussion on the specific course design and the faculty readiness with the technologies commonly used in online course delivery.
The checklist includes course items that should be included in your online course design, as well as facilitation skills necessary to teach online courses and the necessary technology skills to teach an online course.

The guidelines presented in this section have been developed as part of the College's pilot online program initiative, the RN to BS program. Individual schools and the faculty governance system have or will be developing guidelines and policies pertaining to online course offerings outside of this pilot program. Faculty members exploring online options need to consult with their Chair and/or Dean to learn of their options and relevant policies. In addition, any plans to pursue an online option must be communicated to the Provost's Office from the outset.
