Math Center Policies
If you have any questions about these guidelines, please make arrangements to talk with the Rebecca Tiffin, Math Center Director.
- Each student must sign-in with a tutor before receiving tutoring services. This information is used to track how our services are being used and make appropriate changes in our schedule.
- We provide drop-in tutoring services when appropriate tutors are available.
- Review relevant course material such as class notes, textbook, and syllabus, prior to coming to the Math Center for tutoring services. Make an attempt to complete any assigned or practice exercises before asking for assistance from a tutor. Tutors will not do your work for you.
- We provide tutors who have some experience in all of the courses supported. Some tutors have more expertise in certain areas than others. Refer to the Tutor Specialties page and check the Math Center Tutor Schedule before working with a specific tutor.
Students who plan on taking advantage of the services provided by the St. John Fisher Math Center must agree to abide by the policies listed above. The Math Center reserves the right to refuse tutoring services to anyone who has violated these policies.
