Who knew that vampires shared the luck of the Irish? Just in time for Halloween, the Irish Studies Program, with support from the New York Council for Humanities, will host “The Irish Vampire: Bram Stoker and the Continuing Influence of Dracula” on Monday, October 28, from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Golisano Gateway Midlevel.
The Department of OIT’s Matt Miller, Media Application Specialist, and Robin Schmid, Training Support Specialist, will present at the Echo360 Active Learning Northeast Regional User Meeting on October 1 at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Beginning on August 15, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) will be rolling out two new wireless networks across campus in an effort to better protect the College’s information that is stored on the network infrastructure.
St. John Fisher College’s current Blackboard environment is migrating to a cloud solution provided by Blackboard at the end of spring semester 2012. This will allow the College to provide a high availability environment with 99.9% production up time, dedicated IT backroom support through Blackboard, and improved enterprise class disaster recovery capabilities.
The Office of Information Technology is pleased to announce the migration of all student email accounts to the Google Email system (Gmail) at the end of December 2011.
The Office of Information Technology has been planning for the deployment of a new email system, Exchange 2010, and migrating faculty and staff email accounts to the new system by the end of this summer.
Perhaps you have seen the bright yellow "SJFC Wireless: Wi-Fi Here" signs around campus in the Pioch Café, Lavery Library, and other areas. Now, resident students will see them in some new locations as well!
