Alcohol & Other Drug Services

This site aims to provide clear, accurate and evidenced-based information about prevention practices and interventions regarding alcohol and other drugs (AOD).

In presenting this information, we are not endorsing or approving underage drinking, the use of any illegal drugs or the use of any legal drugs that are taken in a manner that is inconsistent with prescribing practices of the student’s health care provider. We regard abstinence as the student’s only no-risk choice regarding alcohol use if he/she is underage and we hold the same position for illegal drugs at any age. Legal and other risk factors aside, we understand that students may decide to use alcohol and/or other drugs. If they do chose to use, it is hoped that some of the information provided here will help to reduce harm and minimize risks.
