| On Thursday, February 15, the College launched a new brand advertising campaign. With the help of the new agency-of-record, Jay Advertising, Fisher has two new television commercials, print ads, billboards, and website banners that feature faculty, current students, alumni, and President Bain. The campaign, with the theme line, Discover the World Within, places Fisher in a very competitive light vis-à-vis its peer institutions. Designed to target both parents and teens, the campaign will run in the Rochester, Buffalo, and Syracuse markets.
The television commercials were filmed during a two-day shoot in January. Crews worked on location in campus buildings such as Kearney Hall, the Wegmans School of Pharmacy, Pioch Hall, the Campus Center, and Lavery Library.
Television spots are scheduled to run on network and cable television stations, during programs such as Ugly Betty, Greys Anatomy, The Office, Sabres hockey games, Survivor, Heroes, Medium, The Apprentice, Ellen, and Oprahprogramming that reaches both teens and parents. Another prime placement is one spot during the Academy Awards. There is also a strong presence in local news programming. The network TV flight will run through the week of April 23.
The cable TV buy in all three markets includes sports programming (ESPN/ESPN2/Sabres), news (CNN/CNN Headline News/FOX News), and general interest programming (TNT/TBS/FX/ABC Family/Comedy Central).
Fishers print ads will appear in the March 12 and April 9 issues of Time, Newsweek, and U.S. News & World Report in the Rochester, Syracuse, and Buffalo markets, as well as Next Step Magazine, and Insider. Earlier this month, Fisher had a prominent placement on the back cover of the Black History Month supplement to the Democrat and Chronicle. |
