Alumna Shares Journey with Cushing’s Disease with Nursing Students

Last spring, Shelby Christensen, a St. John Fisher College alumna who was diagnosed with Cushing’s disease in 2010, reached out to Dr. Tammy Roman, Assistant Professor in the Wegmans School of Nursing, to see if she could share her journey with this rare disease with her students. Christensen produced a video that is still used in Roman’s classes today. Read More

The final lecture in the First Friday Lecture Series, which has focused on a sustainability theme this fall, will feature Dr. Tim Madigan, Associate Professor of Philosophy, who will present, “Ethical and Moral Components of Being Environmentally Conscious and Working Towards Sustainability.” The lecture will take place on Friday, December 5, in the Joseph S. St. John Fisher College to Celebrate 12th Annual Philosophy Day

St. John Fisher College will be celebrating the 12th annual World Philosophy Day on Thursday, November 20. This year, the program will focus on ethics and economics. The event will feature keynote speaker, Dr. Jonathan Wight, Professor of Economics from the University of Richmond Robins School of Business, and six panel sessions with panelists from Fisher along with several area colleges and Irish universities.
