Photography Work of Local Alumni to be Displayed in Lavery Library Exhibit

Lavery Library will welcome alumni photographers Timothy Hack ’80 and Robert Hinkelman ’58 as they exhibit their work beginning September 16 and running through October 29 in the library’s Lower Level and Main Level galleries. An extensive collection of both these artists’ photographs will be on display, showcasing their talents in areas far different from the credentials they earned at St. John Fisher College. Read More

St. John Fisher College Bittner School of Business Names New Assistant Dean

The St. John Fisher College Bittner School of Business has named Lori Hollenbeck as the new assistant dean. Previously, Hollenbeck was assistant dean at Alfred University’s College of Business. Prior to that role at Alfred, she served as the director of the school’s MBA program. Her teaching experience includes three years as an adjunct professor at Alfred and two years as a tutor for Empire State College. Read More

The day was packed full of a variety of entertainment for all ages. Many local organizations and individual members from the Rochester community participated as a performer or a vendor to showcase and celebrate their Puerto Rican heritage. Read More

2010 Homecoming Weekend Success!

Over 1,000 alumni and their families poured onto campus this past weekend for reunions, celebrations and sporting events. And what a weekend it was! The events kicked off with the Accounting Alumni Society luncheon on Thursday afternoon, where two Fisher alums were recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award. That evening was the Athletic Hall of Fame dinner, honoring the 1980 volleyball team, the 1985 football team, and the 2005 men’s basketball team. In addition, seven individual inductees were honored. Christmas came early yesterday at Clara Barton School No. 2, thanks to students from St. John Fisher College’s Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. School of Education. Nearly 350 students from School No. 2 were surprised with the opening of two newly designed learning centers, created for students to explore language and literacy in all areas of instruction.
