On Tuesday, November 11, over 80 student veterans, faculty, staff, and other veterans gathered in the Wilson Formal Lounge for a Veterans Day Celebration to honor those who have sacrificed and served the country.
Over 150 students, along with faculty and staff, sprinkled into the Campus Center Mainstage on Wednesday, November 5, to celebrate the College’s 2nd annual #FisherCares Day.
A total of 135 Fisher families chose to spend their Halloween weekend on campus for the 2014 Family Weekend festivities. They came for Casino Night, the football game and hospitality tent, the “Horror at Homecoming” Murder Mystery dinner, and much more.
Students and faculty at St. John Fisher College will celebrate the annual “Four Freedoms Week” November 2-8 through a variety of campus-wide initiatives aimed at embracing the freedom of speech, freedom of worship, freedom from want, and freedom from fear.
A total of 45 St. John Fisher College students, faculty, and staff participated in the American Cancer Society’s (ACS) Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 19 in downtown Rochester. The College’s team raised $1400 for the cause. Fisher has had a team in the walk for the past 15 years.
For the 3rd year in a row, Students With A Vision (SWAV) spent their recess weekend at Kanatsiohareke Mohawk Community, a small Mohawk/Kanienkahaka community on the north bank of the Mohawk River, west of Fonda, New York. A total of nine Fisher students and faculty teamed up with a group of Nazareth students to provide service and immerse themselves into the culture from October 9-11.
Family Weekend is right around the corner with a schedule of family-friendly activities offering something for everyone from October 31-November 2.
Teddi 33 is right around the corner, and in an effort to get a jumpstart on fundraising for Camp Good Days and Special Times, the Teddi Committee has organized the first-ever Teddi Trot 5K on Saturday, October 25, at 10:00 a.m.
The St. John Fisher College Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) will host a weeklong celebration in honor of the AMA from October 6-9. “Marketing Week” gives the collegiate chapter a chance to connect like-minded marketing individuals and provide numerous networking opportunities to the student members.
The Student Athlete Mentors (SAMs) hosted a photo campaign event in the Campus Center on September 24 to spread awareness about sexual assault prevention during National Sexual Health Awareness Week.
