Welcome to Orientation at Fisher!
Saturday, September 3 - Tuesday, September 6
Fisher's Orientation program is designed to help you make a smooth transition to college. You'll learn about campus life, student activities, academic expectations, campus facilities and support services, and make lots of new friends!
In short, Orientation is the most significant community-building activity you can take part in at Fisher. Current Fisher students serve as "Orientation Leaders" and are anxious to meet you.
Orientation is required for all new full-time Fisher students, both commuters and residents. It's a fun-filled time for you to become acquainted with the College and to take part in activities with your new classmates, many of whom will become your friends for life.

Why did you choose Fisher?
I chose Fisher because I felt very comfortable when I first stepped foot on the campus. I went to a small high school, so the close-knit community Fisher has made me feel right at home! There are so many opportunities offered and everyone is so friendly which has made my experience here so moving.
What is your favorite Fisher memory?
It’s hard to choose just one! Participating in the Teddi Dance for Love this past year is definitely one of my favorite memories. I love to dance so the 24-hour dance-a-thon was so much fun for me. It was wonderful seeing all the children come from Camp Good Days to dance with us. I also was really moved by the balloon launch in Amanda Conrow’s honor. It’s just a wonderful experience.
What do you love about Orientation?
I love meeting all of the new students that join the Fisher family. It’s great being a familiar face for the freshman throughout their first weeks and year on campus. My favorite activity that we do during Orientation is definitely Play Fair!
What should freshmen should expect?
Freshmen should expect a fun-filled, educational orientation weekend! They should expect to become a part of the Fisher Family and to meet many new people, and learn all that there is to know about St. John Fisher College.
1 Random Fact About Me:
I’m a HUGE Justin Bieber fan!!
Favorite thing to do in Rochester:
My favorite thing to do in Rochester is definitely going to Pittsford Dairy! I absolutely love ice cream and it’s so close and right near the canal so I can walk along the water if it is a nice day. My favorite flavor (that I’ve tried so far) is Blue Moo and I love to get it on a sugar cone.
