Staff Recognition Program Seeking Award Nominations

February 8, 2018

The Staff Recognition Committee is seeking nominations for the College’s annual staff awards through Friday, March 16. The goal of the program is to showcase staff accomplishments, as well as recognize characteristics including integrity, Fisher spirit, genuineness, professional/personal ethics, self-discipline, and initiative.

Renee Morano, Sara Shipley, Jeremy Luke, Bruce Jess, and Cecil Felton won awards during the Staff Celebration and Awards Ceremony.

The program now includes a simplified nomination process, with a new, easy-to-complete Google form.

In addition to the Freshman, Cardinal, Good Samaritan, and Lifelong Learner awards, this year, the committee introduced the Great Group Award, which will recognize a working group/team, committee, or department which has achieved success with a project or initiative, impacted the College with their work, and serves as a model for collaborative group initiatives. A full description of each award can be found on the Staff Recognition website.

The program also seeks nominations from students for the Students’ Choice Award which honors an employee who demonstrates a “student first” approach and proactively and consistently promotes the success of students.

Winners will be announced at the 2018 Staff Celebration scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, in Cleary Family Auditorium.

Members of the Staff Recognition Committee include Crystal Sherman (co-chair), Sara Vinch (co-chair), Alison Sexton, Kate Ross, Andrew Brolsma, Al Camp, Renee Morano, Virginia Meredith, Maherly Schaeffer, Jennifer Pluretti, Kristin Anderson, Sean Farnsworth, and Karen Costantini.
