Dear Rochester: Fisher Joins United Way Campaign Efforts

April 12, 2019

For more than 100 years, the Rochester community has come together to help neighbors in need through the United Way annual campaign. In 2019, the fundraising drive takes on the theme, Dear Rochester, and once again, St. John Fisher College will join the effort, helping to raise funds to “take care of our dear Rochester.” Fisher’s campaign will run from Monday, April 15 through Friday, April 26.

United Way Proud Supporter

Fisher’s United Way Campaign committee has created a slate of prizes for those who donate, including:

  • $100 Delmonico’s gift card, offered to first-time donors that sign up the first week;
  • Parking Spot for a year, eligible for a $50 or higher pledge for all participants, announced at the end of the campaign;
  • One vacation day, eligible at the end of the second week of the campaign for all participants;
  • $25 gift cards to Mark’s (donate by April 17), DiBella’s (donate by April 22), and Delmonico’s (donate by April 25), available to all participants.

Every gift to United Way’s Community Fund makes a measurable impact on the community—kids, families, older adults, and more, and provides a safety net of services to help people across all stages of life and levels of need.

Donations can be made online at https://uwrochester.org/. The United Way is also collecting “Dear Rochester” stories to share on social media or at community events.
