School of Pharmacy Charters New Leadership Honor Society

May 23, 2017

On Tuesday, May 9, the Wegmans School of Pharmacy officially chartered the new epsilon delta chapter of Phi Lambda Sigma (PLS). The national pharmacy leadership society, PLS promotes the development of leadership qualities, especially among pharmacy students.

By peer recognition, the Society encourages participation in pharmacy activities. Although membership crosses fraternal and organizational lines, the Society does not compete with other pharmacy organizations.

Since there no greater honor that can be bestowed upon an individual than to be recognized as a leader by one’s peers, PLS officials said this type of recognition encourages a more active role and promotes greater effort toward the advancement of pharmacy.
