Dr. Patricia L. Wollan has been appointed associate professor of finance at the School of Business at St. John Fisher College. Dr. Wollan earned her Ph.D. in finance from The Pennsylvania State University. She holds an MBA degree from Old Dominion University and a bachelor's degree in mathematics from York University in England.
Prior to joining academia, Dr. Wollan worked in the business sector, as both an actuarial analyst and as a financial planner in the Virginia area. During that time, she received a number of investment and insurance licenses. In 1997, she began her academic career as a graduate assistant at Penn State University and has been at the Rochester Institute of Technology since 2003. While at R.I.T., Dr. Wollan was actively involved with students in a variety of roles, especially as a mentor of their Financial Management Association. Her primary teaching responsibilities have been in options and futures and financial analysis.
