A number of special programs and initiatives are run through the Human Resources Department including Staff Recognition Program, Healthy U, Staff Advisory Council, and more.
Staff Recognition Program
The purpose of the Staff Recognition Program is to promote enhanced staff connection to the campus community, showcase staff accomplishments, and aid in overall retention of employees.

Staff Advisory Council
The Staff Advisory Council serves as a forum for discussion of College staff interests and concerns in addition to promoting staff professionalism, development, and support opportunities.

Do you hear yourself continually thanking staff for their help? Do you wish you had a way of expressing your gratitude with more than just words? Employees are encouraged to recognize colleagues when they observe good deeds.
As a way of recognizing staff members who do an excellent job every day, as well as those who go above and beyond, the Human Resources Department has identified the “Thumbs Up” award to say “thank you” for doing a great job.
Little Theatre, Regal Cinemas, and Delta Sonic tickets are available to give to staff members to recognize stellar performance. Gift cards also are available from Lackmann and Barnes & Noble.*
Anyone may nominate a staff member for the Thumbs Up award by completing the Employee Recognition Form [pdf] and returning it to the Human Resources Department, K211.
*The total dollar value of any gift card is taxable to the recipient and tickets totaling more than $15 also must be taxed.
