Program to Enhance Teaching and Learning (PETAL)

The Program for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (PETAL) is a resource that provides both full-time and part-time faculty with ongoing opportunities for professional development.

Professional development opportunities include Second Thursday sessions, Teaching and Learning Circles, and day-long workshops prior to the start of each semester. The PETAL committee, which is made up of faculty and staff members from across the institution, receives support from the Office of the Provost.

The mission of PETAL is to support faculty in their efforts to become more effective and engaging teachers at all levels and to provide opportunities for faculty to exchange ideas in a collegial environment that promotes lifelong learning.
